How I Became a Recovery Coach!

Today we have a guest blog all the way from Canada! Actually, not too far from where I am in Detroit. Although let's not argue about Detroit hockey right now! Nicole has a tremendous story of finding her way through growing up in a household that conditioned her to alcoholism and addiction, into finding her way through love and marriage back into herself; now helping people! We are so proud to share such success. So, without further ado... Nicole:   "Hello, my name, is Nicole Cameron. I am a Recovery Life Coach who walks the journey of recovery with others...

I Suffer From "Adrenal Fatigue"

Please note that we are not doctors in an MD sense, nor should you change anything without consulting one first. He fought hard against the pull of heroin in his last months, but on December 23, 2009, my brother was murdered in a drug-related shooting. His dependence on drugs not only ruined his own health, but harmed his family and friends. He...

19 Days Clean...

I'm Jake, have 19 days clean, and I call it my first real attempt at recovery, because before, it was either to satisfy my family, a girlfriend, a job, or whatever the cause may be; but the reason wasn’t me. This time getting clean is for me, and at the same time I’ll be helping my wife and newborn daughter. I want my daughter to grow up with a positive male role model in her life, while showing her that you can overcome anything that is put in your path. She’ll see the strength within me and our family when...
